Crime ratio increased after deputing FC in Balochistan, Addl Prosecutor tells SC

Islamabad: The crime ration in Balochistan has been increased after deputing of Frontier Constabulary (FC), was revealed during the hearing of a case related to release of an accused involved in robbery in Supreme Court.

A three member bench led by Justice Dost Muhammad Khan Wednesday conducted the hearing of release of accused involved in robbery in Supreme Court. During the hearing, Additional Prosecutor Balochistan, Tahir Khattak claimed that levy force was rendering its duties more effectively. He said check-posts are sold to gain financial benefits.

Upon this, Justice Dost Muhammad Khosa said that if the levy’s performance was effective then what was need of the Frontier Constabulary (FC). Lawyer Tahir Khattak said that there was no need to depute FC in Balochistan. He said that crime ration has been increased after deputing FC in Balochistan. He disclosed that trade of check-posts was carried on. Later the court accepting the appeal of the accused sought record of the case and adjourned the hearing for indefinite period.
