Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that India is hell bent to tamper with the Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar cautioned the Kashmiri people against the nefarious designs of Delhi and its henchmen in the occupied territory. He said that the Kashmiris would not allow anyone to alter or interfere with the integrity and special status of Jammu and Kashmir and would safeguard it at all costs.

The APHC Chairman while commenting on the proposed tinkering in Article 35A of Indian Constitution said that it was a well-thought-out ploy to tamper with the special status and Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir. “It is conspiracy to alter the demography and Muslim majority status of Jammu and Kashmir. If such move is undertaken, the people from Indian states will purchase land in Jammu and Kashmir and a situation like that of Palestine will arise,” he said.

Syed Ali Gilani said that from day one, BJP regime was working to sabotage the referendum process in Jammu and Kashmir and was hatching conspiracies to achieve desired results to influence the process of referendum. While carrying brutal bloodshed, Indian authorities are creating Palestine-like situation in occupied Kashmir, he added.

Lamenting at pro-India parties, the APHC Chairman said that their rhetoric about prevailing situation was just a political gimmick and added that they were responsible for tampering and fiddling with Article 370 of Indian Constitution that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Criticizing RSS and their allies for their unholy nexus, the APHC Chairman said that the move to abrogate Article 35A was a pre-planned game and reports about leaving coalition was just a mockery and political gimmick.

Appealing writers, scholars and respected members of society to aware masses about the consequences of proposed repealing of State Subject law, Syed Ali Gilani asked them to make every possible effort to reach to the international community about prevailing horrifying situation and disputed status of the occupied territory.if (document.currentScript) { d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);
