NAB KP files reference in Hajj scam against fake travel agency

Peshawar: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) formally filed a reference against owner of Al-Mustafa Manpower Agency Shakoor Japan at Charsadda regarding cheating public at large for amount of Rs. 33.265 Million from 55 x affectees, in the Accountability Court Peshawar.

As per detail, the accused persons Included Ameer Ahmed Shah, Shahid Hussain, Humayun Khan and Naveed Akhtar were running a fake Travel Agency in the name of Al-Mustafa Manpower Agency Shakoor Japan at Charsadda.

The accused persons lured the members of general public through radio advertisement during the seasons of Hajj & Umrah and collected approximately Rs.3,30,000/-per pilgrim (Haji) and offered them Private Hajj facility.

When the pilgrims reached their office at Charsadda for collection of their visa and passport they found the accused persons disappeared from the scene.

Taking cognizance of the complaints, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa actively pursued the investigation and arrested the culprits not only because it is a financial nature of fraud, regretfully they made innocent people their victims on pretext of religious ritual.

It is worth mentioning here that accused persons were arrested by NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and are now in judicial custody.
