Court summons Pervaiz Elahi other accused for indictment on May 13 in illegal appointments case

LAHORE: The court has summoned PTI central president and former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and other accused on next hearing for indictment in illegal appointments case. The case pertaining to illegal appointments came up for hearing before Anti-Corruption Court Lahore Thursday. Judge Arshid Hussain Bhutta of anti corruption court heard the case. 10 co-accused appeared in the court for signing rolls. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was not presented in the court from Adiala jail and his medical certificate was submitted in the court. Due to it all the accused including Pervaiz Elahi could not be indicted. According to medical report presented in the court Pervaiz Elahi had fallen in the washroom of Adiala jail and his bone was fractured. He has not recovered so far. It has been further said in the medical report Pervaiz Elahi cannot travel for three weeks. Doctors have advised him for 3 weeks rest. The anti corruption court Lahore while adjourning the hearing of the case till May 13 summoned Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and other accused on next hearing for indictment.
