Haleem Adil Sheikh categorically rejects controversial Kalabagh Dam project

Karachi: Sindh President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Haleem Adil Sheikh, has categorically rejected the controversial Kalabagh Dam project, terming it a 'dead horse' which the party has never supported. In a video statement issued on Tuesday Haleem Adil Sheikh said that former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan had repeatedly opposed the construction of Kalabagh Dam during his tenure, making the party's stance clear.Referring to recent remarks by PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur, Sheikh clarified that such views could be his personal opinion, as other leaders from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also distanced themselves from it.'As the provincial president, I reaffirm that PTI will never endorse any project that weakens the federation or harms the provinces. Dams are necessary, but Kalabagh Dam is not acceptable,' Sheikh asserted. He emphasized that Imran Khan's past statements against Kalabagh Dam carry final weight, and any contradictory comments from other leaders hold no significance.
