Islamabad: Police Thursday entered into National press club Islamabad , vandalized the cafeteria and subjected the journalists to violence.

As per media reports Islamabad Police subjected the journalists present in the press club cafeteria to violence. Police arrested press club employee and took him with them.

Information minister Atta Ullah Tarar while terming police entry into press club sorrowful said press club is like my home. This incident will be investigated fully.

Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi took notice of the incident and sought report from IG police.

Ordering for investigation into the incident interior minister Mohsin Naqvi said violence against the journalists is not tolerable in any way. Responsibility be fixed on the police personnel involved in the incident and administrative action be taken against them.
