42,984 people provided medical facilities in Thar

KARACHI: In Thar, 42,984 people have been provided medical facilities in Umerkot and Sanghar.

Director General Sindh Disaster Management Authority on Sunday said cattle-head vaccination is also continuing in the area.

The Punjab government has sent relief goods worth one hundred million rupees to the drought-hit areas of Tharparkar.

Under the assistance, 25,000 food packets and 50,000 mineral water bottles have been distributed among over twenty thousand people in Deeplo, Mitthi, Islam Kot and Nangarparkar.

Meanwhile, Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has also dispatched a thirty-member team of medics and paramedics to drought-hit areas of Tharparkar.
