8 projects of PIMS worth Rs 60 crores approved

Islamabad: Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has given the approval of 8 new projects of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital, worth Rs 60 crores. These projects include expansion in Medical ICU ward, mortuary, ENT department, nursing hotel, installation of air conditioners (AC) and monitoring project.

CAAD has issued the orders to send these projects to Ministry of Planning, development and Reform (MPDR) for approval.

The spokesperson of PIMS Dr Wasim Raja has said that hospital will be made new within two or three months.

According to Dr Wasim Khawaja, ventilators would be available to the patients due to the expansion of ICU ward while the patients will get a comfortable atmosphere due to the installation of air conditions.
