AC grants physical remand to MD pharmaceutical company

Islamabad: The Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has awarded six day physical remand to Managing Director and employee of R.G. Pharmaceuticals and handed over them to National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

On Wednesday, Mohammad Bashir, judge AC conducted the hearing of the MD Khalid Mahmood and co-accused Tariq Haider.

The NAB official during the hearing informed the court that accused was taken into custody after rejecting his bail application on February 14 adding that accused were alleged of importing medicines from Switzerland at low rates and sold them at high rates and make millions of profit illegally.

The NAB officials prayed the court to grant the physical remand of the accused for the recovery of money and documents.

Farooq H Naik, the prosecutor of the accused opposed the physical remand of the accused and said that documents have been produced to the court which it required and money was not looted which NAB had to recover.

The AC accepting the plea of the NAB awarded the accused six day physical remand and adjourned the hearing.}
