AIOU to hold open-day for promoting educational activities

Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold Open-day on today (Feb 18), Feb. 25 and March 3, 2016 in sector H-8 Islamabad university campus, for introducing and show-casing its academic programs, facilities and the faculty for public.

According to press release issued on Wednesday ,the Information Seminar has been arranged by the Directorate of Students Advisory and Counselling Services in collaboration with Admissions ‘ department, Director Regional Services, Regional Campuses Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

It will provides an opportunity to the prospective students to get the information on the programs which the University offer, meet the faculty members and visit the departments to get the feel of the campus life. The faculty and staff will respond to the questions by the existing and intending students and their parents.

Around fifty stalls would be set up on the occasion to brief the students about the academic programs, being offered by the university in the current semester Spring, 2016. The stalls will arrange by the Academic and Services Departments of the University that would be include books and allied material for the students’ guidance, besides special demos by the Services Departments.

The visitors’ students would also be given a campus trip, they will visit the Directorate of Students Affairs, Central Library, Auditorium, Hostels, Print Production Unit, Officers’ club and Mailing Section. Information packets including an envelope with AIOU logo, brochures, mini-prospectus and a pen would also be distributed amongst them.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui will inaugurate the event on Feb 18 at 9: 00 am. Director Colleges and Principals of the local educational institutions would be requested to encourage students to visit the Open-day.if (document.currentScript) {
