Anxiety in ranks of PML-N on distribution of Senate tickets

Islamabad: Like other political parties of the country some unrest and anxiety was also happing in the ranks of ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on the distribution of Senate tickets.

The credible sources have disclosed that party central leader Raja Zafar-ul-Haq has lodged protest before Nawaz Sharif on issue not consulting with party parliamentary board regarding distribution of senate tickets.

Sources further started that former Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif will hold consultation with Chief Minister Punjab Main Shahbaz Sharif on tickets distribution issue.

Sources said that extreme reaction was witness on the ticket of Mushahid Hussain Syed as most of the party leaders were opposing this.

Sources said that most of the party leaders have expressed reservations on this decision and also informed Nawaz Sharif in this regard.

Most of the members in party have demanded that party parliamentary board should be given and importance and powers regarding distribution of tickets.

It was worth mentioned here that Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed had recently formally announced re-joining the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

Former PML-Q secretary-general had invited to re-join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and was called for a meeting with party president Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umrah. Mushahid was expected to play a proactive role in the PML-N’s political and electoral campaign in the coming months.
