PESHAWAR: Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazalur Rehman has said that the whole country will turn into a battlefield once protests are started against the incumbent government.

The JUI-F chief talked to media in Peshawar and announced that the first destination of Azadi March will be Islamabad. He affirmed that the masses in huge numbers will sweep away the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government and said he will use plan B and C if need be.

“The country’s economy has been destroyed and employment opportunities have been brought to an end. We will become the voice of a common man and Pakistan. He said that Imran Khan had promised to give 10 million jobs to youth but not a single has been given, adding that during the term of current government 1.5 to 2 million people have become jobless.

“Our demand will be to conduct fresh elections. Business community is already protesting owing to taxes and time has come to send the ineligible and illegitimate government packing.

“Government wants to gain international support by highlighting the madrassah (religious seminaries) issue. “The prizes you (prime minister) distributed among students of seminaries was an attempt to counter us but it was in vain.”

“Imran Khan has put Pakistan in trouble by talking about nuclear war. It is a diplomatic failure of Pakistan to indulge in warmongering.”

The JUI-F chief denied that there was any similarity between the sit-ins held by the now-ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s Tahirul Qadri and Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan’s Khadim Rizvi, saying he was leading a march for the “independence” of the public.

Fazlur Rehman also criticised the government’s plan for educational reforms in the country after launching into an anti-Semitic attack against prominent billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros. He alleged that the government’s “agenda” was to “make Pakistan’s educational system subservient to the West”.

“We know who he [Prime Minister Imran] met in New York,” Rehman said. “[He met] George Soros, who runs an NGO and distributes funds all over the world in the garb of bringing about educational reforms. By meeting that infamous Jew, [the government] has made it clear that they don’t want to bring reforms in religious education. They want to make Pakistan’s educational system subservient to the West.” Rehman went on to accuse the prime minister of meeting people who “conspire against other countries”.

“They [the government] befriend such conspirators, who are Jewish, and then tell us they want to reform the education system,” he declared.

Fazlur Rehman said that his ‘war’ with the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would only end when he had sent the government packing. He said that the entire country would be turned into a war-zone for the political spectacle.

While replying a question regarding his possible arrest prior to the Azadi march, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that when man comes out in the filed then he did not fear about the arrest. He clarified that the arrests will further provoke the masses. He said that Asif Ali Zardari is supporting us and we are in contact with PPP, adding that we are also in contact with other political parties and no one has disappointed us.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the use of card of madaris by government has failed. He said that there will be little participation of madaris in our march. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that he wants to ask the institutions, establishment, bureaucracy and police to stop backing illegal government, adding that we have given our policy that we did not want confrontation with the institutions and want to respect the institutions and want to maintain the good relations with the state institutions. He said that if the institutions themselves want to adopt the policy of confrontations with the masses and if the institutions are harmed then tomorrow who will be responsible for it.

He said that if going to Islamabad is bad then why the name of Islamabad was chosen, adding that Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan and if we want to make any progress regarding Islam then it will happen from Islamabad. Fazl said the Islamabad which is used for hatching international conspiracies we will purge this Islamabad from you.

He said that any big change could come in our strategy prior to 27th October, could only happen in result of resignation of fake ruler and this is the biggest possibility. He said that the people will see participants of Azadi march coming from Karachi, Makran, Turbat, Chital and Gilgit-Baltistan to Islamabad. He said that the word of sit-in should not be used for Azadi March. Fazl said that we are not disclosing many things prior to time and we will issue instructions with the passage of time. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that why we will not take donations from our workers for the Azadi March, adding that it is our right to collect Rs100 or Rs200 from our workers for the Azadi march. Fazl said that we are also seeking donations from media and our friends, adding that we are not taking money from Jews and West.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that all opposition parties have decided to support Azadi march, adding that we will accept every kind of support at any level in the Azadi march from opposition parities. He said that if the government is toppled in result of Azadi march then new election will be held, adding that the prime minister will be present in caretaker government. He said that it is our principled stance that we want fresh elections. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Azadi march will start on 27th October, adding that it should not happen that the people of Tarnol reach on 27th October and other people reach after five days.

He said that which kind of speech was delivered by Prime Minister Irman Khan at the United Nations General Assembly, adding that the very next day the India won the votes and we faced defeat. The human rights council meeting was held in Geneva and the joke was committed with the nation that we have support of 58 countries and total votes are 47. He said that this number is same like the number of votes told in elections results.

He said that one person is the deputy speaker of the national assembly and when his boxes are opened 52,000 votes are proved fake.

He said that there is no history of nuclear war between the two neighbors and this could not happen. He said that the day Kashmir was sold, the same day Imran Khan had issued statement in the assembly that what I can do? Should I attack? Then what Kashmir committee chairman can do? Whether he should attack? Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that said that we are dealing with the people who have no sense, no idea and no thinking and they are ruling the country.

Replying a question, Fazl said that no foreign or Islamic country has approached us for stopping the Azadi March. He said that it is out of question that PML-N and PPP will not support the JUI-F in Azadi March.
