Billions of rupees embezzlement in CDA: Audit report

Islamabad: After tempering in the official record of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the alleged embezzlement of about Rs.1 billion and 452.130 million has been revealed in the audit report.

According to audit report received by reporter, the Deputy Director division-1 had paid Rs.469.160 million to contractor in the head of construction work for the building of about 104 family suits in the parliament lodges which provisional certificates were available.

As per details, the Deputy Director roads North of CDA has paid about Rs.989.270 million through 28 IPs to contractor for the extension and maintenance of Kashmir Highway, from Peshawar Mor to Golra Sharif and south carriage without any survey. The official of civic agency has no record of Rs.1 billion and 450 million spent on the development works during 2014-15.

The top officials of civic agency had allegedly made corruption of worth Rs. 1 billion and 450 million in the head of maintenance of roads and other development works in the federal capital. The national exchequer has to face billions of rupees loss.d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);
