BNP-M may part ways with PTI till August

Quetta: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) President Akhtar Mengal has said that his party’s alliance with the PTI government will terminate in August as it will be free to part ways with it since the agreement inked for the period is ending.

BNP-M president said the ruling government has failed in constituting eight-member committee that had to look into the grievances of the party, adding that, Balochistan in the wake of non-fulfillment of the commitment made by the PTI last year for resolving problems of the province.

He said Prime Minister‘s hands are tied in Balochistan case, adding that policy makers vision are associated with their personal interests. Lamenting the ruling government over its poor development policies, he said over Rs50 billion development funds that should be released to the province under PSDPS are lapsing. He said, “In fact development work has been stopped completely.”

Sardar Mengal further said Opposition is annoyed from the government attitude and it is its due right to bring no-confidence motion against the prime minister in the Parliament. He added leaders in the past always tender apologies to the people of Balochistan.

He said this while talking to a private news channel here. The BNP leader regretted that the people of Balochistan had thrown weight behind the ruling party with the hope that it will solve their problems but unfortunately nothing is happening in the interest of the people in the province.
