China to carry on support Pakistan in development : Diplomat

Islamabad: Pakistan and China are time-tested friend and both countries always supported each other in every aspect of relations. China will continue to stand by Pakistan in its development and prosperity drive for better future and peace.

These were the remarks by Bhao Zong, Head of Political and Press Section, Embassy of People’s Republic of China during the Seminar on “Second Belt and Road Forum: Achievements and Prospects” organized by Centre for Belt and Road Initiative and China Studies Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies in collaboration with Commission of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS).

This wisdom is to promote the cooperation through bilateralism with equal opportunity and development with principle of collaboration. With improved connectivity at physical levels like rail and roads, there are greater chances for people to people contact hence more understanding, dialogue and less confrontation. It was also highlighted that the BRI and the related projects are result oriented and not just talk shops. For instance, as a result of these projects and development initiative several hundred thousand of people will come out of poverty and will be able to provide not only jobs but also training opportunities as well.

Dr. Zameer Ahmed Awan, Sionologist, China Studies Centre, National University of Science and Technology , Dr. Mohammad Munir, Assistant Professor, National Defence University and Farhat Asif, President Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies also spoke on the occasion .
