Constable arrested for taking ‘bribe’

Rawalpindi: A police constable has been arrested on charges of taking bribe from a citizen within the Rawat police jurisdiction.

Taimur Khan, a resident of Islamabad, lodged a complaint with the local police that police constable Mohammad Shahid took Rs60,000 as bribe for from him to ‘get him recruited in the police force’.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (security) ordered an inquiry into the matter and later arrested the constable after the bribe allegation was established.
