DHA to engage 24 Entomologists, 500 sanitary workers to counter dengue menace

Rawalpindi: To cope with the threats posed by the dengue, Rawalpindi District Health Authorities (DHA) have decided to engage 24 Entomologists on 89 days contract basis and 500 sanitary workers including 300 women sanitary patrol and 200 males for which interviews will be held in the current week.

The present strength is 8 Entomologists and 1415 sanitary workers.

In this connection upon contact CEO DHA Dr. Khalid told that as yet 1073 cases of suspects of dengue have been reported in Rawalpindi out of which 96 non-dengue and 15 are confirmed patients. He advised that through proper care dengue can be defeated.
