Doctors working in federal capital get pay raise

Islamabad: Government has announced to increase the pays of doctors working in the four big hospitals of federal capital.

Special Assistant on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Dr. Zafar Mirza says the government will soon launch a program to provide free medical treatment facilities to the patients of hepatitis.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday, he said, on the directions of PM Imran for the first time in Pakistan, the poor families were provided with health card. He said the basic health centers are also being made active from 10th of the next month.

SA to PM informed the media persons that after increasing the pays of nurses now PTI government following the vision of PM Imran Khan increased the pays of doctors.

He said an increase of forty to fifty thousand rupees in salaries of doctors of grade 17 to 20 has been made on the basis of their performance. He said the increase in salaries will be applicable in four big hospitals of Islamabad.

All the basic health units and health centers in Islamabad would be activated after September 10, so the patients can be facilitated on their doorstep instead of approaching to big hospitals.

Government fully committed to make Islamabad as a model city for the health facilities.
