LONDON: Fahim Kayani, President Tehreek-e -Kashmir United Kingdom expressed his concerns over the Indian media reports about the Kashmir protest in London, Indian media reported that the protesters will burn copies of the Indian constitution and India’s flag in front of the Indian High Commission London on Indian Republic Black Day on 26th January 2020.

Fahim Kayani condemned the false reporting of Indian media about the Kashmir protest and said that British Kashmiris have no such intentions at all for burning copies of the Indian constitution and India’s flag.

Further Kayani said that the High Commissioner of India in London met home secretary of the United Kingdom and raised the concerns about the Kashmir protest. Friends of BJP UK supported by The Indian High Commission London have been using different channels to pressurize the UK government to ban the Kashmir protest which is going to take place in front of the Indian High Commission London on 26th January 2020.

Last time the High Commission of India in London connected Kashmir Freedom March on 27th October 2019 with Diwali and gave false information to the UK authorities that Kashmiris chose Diwali day for the Kashmir protest to hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu. It was completely cheap propaganda by the Indian government to undermine the legitimate movement of people of Jammu and Kashmir for the right to self determination recognised by the United Nations. Kayani said that they chose 27th October because Indian army invaded Jammu and Kashmir on 27th October 1947. But the UK authorities took the decision 48 hours before the protest and unfortunately they put the restrictions on the protest. The organisers of the protest didn’t have enough time to challenge the decision in the courts.

Now once again the Indian High Commission London came up with the security threat and burning copies of the Indian constitution and India’s flag.

Fahim Kayani said that they explained to the UK authorities that Kashmiris will hold a peaceful protest on 26th January against India’s illegal occupation on Jammu and Kashmir and human rights violations in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It is our democratic and moral right to raise the voice against fascist policies of so called largest democracy (India). We are very thankful to London Metropolitan Police who has allocated us a place for the protest in front of the Indian High Commission London on 26th January 2020.

Kayani further said that we are going to launch a Kashmir digital campaign in London to expose brutal face of India. I urge Kashmiri and Pakistani community and all peace loving people to participate in the Kashmir protest London on Indian Republic Black Day and show your Solidarity with people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and raise the voice against oppression and injustices happening in Jammu and Kashmir against innocent Kashmiris by Indian army.
