Federal government spends Rs.10 billion allocated for airports to other projects

Islamabad: The federal government had spent about Rs.10 billion on other development projects, which were allocated airports in Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot.

Finance Ministry sources told Online that PML-N’s government had put the airport projects in Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot under the carpet; however the AJK government did also not raised voice against it.

The government had planned to make top quality airports in both cities of AJK to boost of tourism and prosperity of people, while PC-1 of these projects had also been prepared.

These projects were put under the carpet owing to non-availability of funds.
