FIA officers appointed at Pak-Afghan Torkham Border to stop currency smuggling

Peshawar: As many as seven officers of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) were appointed on Pak-Afghan Torkham Border Ghulam Khan check post and other locations to stop the currency smuggling.

Recently, government has established Border Task Force in which the officers of custom, FIA, CTD and other departments were included.

The FIA officers appointed on different locations were Inspector Babar Ali, Inspector Nadeem Ghafoor, Inspector Tahir Khan, inspector Naseer Afradi and inspector Ali Gohar.

Moreover, from 1st September Peshawar has been divided into four parts. That included Cantt, Hayytabad, Town, Karkhana Market, City Area, Haji Camp. It was worth mentioned here that national kitty was being deprived of billion of rupees per month due to undocumented economy at the Torkham border, Bara and the hawala/hundi market.
