Govt. making all out efforts to remove sense of deprivation among people of Balochistan: PM

Quetta:Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that government is making all out efforts to remove the sense of deprivation among people of Balochistan.Talking to newsmen in Quetta on Saturday, he expressed hope that Balochistan will emerge as the most developed province of the country after completion of the ongoing development projects.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that his government would continue the projects which were initiated for Balochistan by Nawaz Sharif and refuted speculation that institutions in the country were on the verge of a clash.

The Prime Minister said projects worth fifteen billion rupees have been finalized, which will be completed in the province during the current year.

He said one major gas supply project will be initiated in every district of Balochistan. He said the solar tubewell project will be completed in three phases. He said work on Kachi Canal project will be started soon.The Prime Minister said Health Card scheme launched in six districts of the province by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be expanded to all districts of the province. Similarly, he said the schemes of Benazir Income Support Programme will also be expanded across the province.

The prime minister said that a meeting lasting for two hours was held to review Balochistan’s security situation. He said that the security situation in the province had improved significantly. “Our work is solving the problems of the masses and we will continue to do that,” he said. He said that the government would also transfer the province’s tubewells to solar energy. He said that the meeting between him and the chief minister also focused on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects.Earlier, chairing a meeting on law and order in Quetta, the Prime Minister said the government is giving top priority to restoration of peace in the country, especially in Balochistan.}}
