Govt official’s home looted at gunpoint

Rawalpindi: A government official’s home was looted at gunpoint within the Civil Lines police jurisdiction.

Amjad Salamat, a resident of Civil Lines, lodged a complaint with the local police that five armed men made their way into his house on Ferdosi road, held the family hostage at gunpoint and made off with Rs10,000 in cash, three carats of gold, and other valuables worth over Rs0.1 million.

The police have registered a case and started investigation.}
