Govt, opposition & state institutions fighting each other on frontline of blackmailing: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE : Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Secretary General of Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch has said that the government, opposition and state institutions are fighting each other on the frontline of blackmailing and engineered riots, virtually the entire state system has disintegrated.

Education, health, employment, social human values, lawlessness of individuals and institutions, broken roads, boiling gutters, dirty water, deprivation of rights and justice for the people has become a major disease, he said.

Addressing public gatherings at Faisalabad Jamia Usmania, Jamia Al-Badr, Liaqat Baloch said that the national leadership should abandon the strategy of ad-hocism, 51-years old anarchy and power games and unite the nation on national priorities.

Talking to reporters after the funeral of Chaudhry Masood Iqbal’s wife in Chiniot, Liaqat Baloch said that the government and opposition alliances have failed, the people want alliances but the allies of the alliances always massacre the alliances on petty interests. The pulpit and the niche (Minber-o-Mehrab), the religious parties, the people’s devotion to Islam is a great strength, but unfortunately the religious parties are also divided in their respective sects. That is why religious unity cannot take shape. Jamaat-e-Islami is not flying solo, it has embarked on a determined long-term struggle with workers, students, farmers, youth and women. We will bring the rule of Islam and put an end to the tyranny, oppression and economic injustice imposed on the people. Confident vote bank across the country will gather on the symbol of scales (InshaAllah!).

Talking to local body representatives in Lahore, Liaqat Baloch said that the PTI government had dismantled local bodies in Punjab. Now it is not ready to accept even a symbolic decision. Similarly, the terms of local bodies in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces have come to an end but the coalition government of PTI, PPP and Balochistan is not holding local body elections.

Politics, democracy, parliamentary and constitutional system are under the control of democracy and constitution thieves, enemies. The electoral reform law in the National Assembly is a black law. The Election Commission should be empowered for electoral reforms and a meeting to build national consensus on electoral reforms should be convened there by all prominent political parties.
