Govt should take practical steps for the support of Kashmiri people: Liaqat Baloch, Asadullah Bhutto

LAHORE: The government should take practical steps for the support of Kashmiri people where a humanitarian crisis is emerging due to severe shortage of food and medicines.

Jamaat-e-Islami naib amirs Liaqat Baloch and Asadullah Bhutto demanded this on Thursday.

Baloch told a delegation of Pakistani students who called on him in Makkah that they were the real ambassador of the country in Saudi Arabia. He said receiving religious education in Saudi Arabia universities which is birthplace of Islam was a blessing. He told them that no worldly possession competed with the education. He also apprised them about the situation in Kashmir.

Asadullah Bhutto and local leader Shamsher Khan Mazari led a “Save Kashmir” rally in Kashmore (Sindh). Holding placards and banners, a large number of people from different walks of life participated in the rally and they raised slogans against Indian naked aggression in occupied valley.

Addressing the participants, Bhutto said Indian had openly violated the UN resolutions and mutual agreement with Pakistan by revoking the special status of Kashmir. He expressed regret over silence of the world on Kashmir crisis and said people of Pakistan were standing with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in this testing moment. He said Kashmir and Pakistan were indispensable for each other.
