India should stop human rights violations in Kashmir: Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is gravely concerned over Indian forces brutalities against Kashmiris and India should stop human rights violations in Kashmir.

FO Spokesman Nafees Zakaria during weekly press briefing here Thursday said that Pakistan has raised the issue of Indian forces atrocities in Kashmir at every forum and we are deeply concerned over the brutalities being perpetrated on the people of Kashmir by India.

He underlined that the people of Kashmir had never accepted execution of Afzal Guru. India is perpetuating atrocities on people of Kashmir since several years which was sheer breach of human rights.

He stated that the foreign secretary level talks between Pakistan and India will take place soon.

He said that Pakistan was tied to bonds of deep relations with Saudi Arabia. We hail every step against terrorism including 34-member military coalition. However, technical details of the military alliance are being worked out, he pointed out. The modalities will be settled in the experts’ level meeting. Zakria said, ‘we fully respect sovereignty and regional security of Syria. All factions in Syria should sit together to resolve the issue. Ties with Russia were also improving, he added.

He remarked that the fourth meeting of Afghan peace process would take place in Kabul on February 23. All four countries want to bring all the factions of Taliban on the negotiations table. Efforts were under way for the recovery of former Afghan governor, he added.

He went on to say that the US had expressed satisfaction over safety and security of Pakistan nuclear programme. Pakistan nuclear arsenals are in safe hands, he said.} else {
