Indian army is using chemical weapons in occupied Kashmir: Masood Khan

ISLAMABAD: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has revealed that the Indian army is using chemical weapons in occupied Kashmir and houses are set on fire. He said that international community should immediately play its role for stopping ethnic cleansing in Jammu Kashmir. He said that the non-state citizens are being settled in occupied Kashmir after the abrogation of article 35-A by India. He said that unarmed Kashmiris are being martyred by the Indian army. He said that it is duty of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to immediately intervene.

This Sardar Msood Khan said while addressing “Meet the Editors” program of CPNE at the Kashmir House in Islamabad on Thursday.

Sardar Masood Khan said that the ethnic cleansing of innocent Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir by Indian forces is crime against humanity. He said that international court should be approached against the illegal Indian actions. He said that the matter of self-determination of Kashmiris has been settled by the United Nations Security Council, so there is no need to take this issue to International Court of Justice. Sardar Masood Khan said that the issue of war crimes in occupied Kashmir and especially over the matter of non-state settlement of population International Law Commission should be approached. He said that the international tribunal should be formed on Kashmir as it was formed for Rawanda and Somalia.

Sardar Masood Khan while addressing the editors said that prior to 5th August, India had entered 1,80,000 additional army in occupied Kashmir. He said that currently 0.9 million Indian army has been deputed in occupied Kashmir. He said that India abrogated Article 370 and Article 35-A while violating the international laws. He said prior to this occupied Kashmir assembly was suspended and presidential rule was imposed. Masood Khan said that without asking from the Kashmiri people the special status of occupied Kashmir was abolished.

He said that to suppress the voice of the Kashmiris the curfew is continued in occupied Kashmir from last 18 days and during this more than six thousand people have been arrested.

Sardar Masood Khan said that Pakistan is holding comprehensive dialogues with India after 1972 but India has used the dialogue process for dodging and deceiving. He said that rejecting the bilateral negotiations is a good step. He said that in Kashmir State Subject Rules were formed in 1927, adding that according to these rules no non-state resident could become permanent resident.

Sardar Masood Khan said that the diplomatic efforts to highlight the Kashmir dispute at the international level should remain continue, adding that the recent meeting of UNSC was important progress in result of the Pakistan’s efforts as India was opposing this meeting. Sardar Masood Khan said that we are thankful to United States, Britain and France who did not close the passage of summoning meeting. He said that Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has leveled allegation of infiltration. He said that the fence has been installed at the Line of Control (LoC) and in presence of fence even an animal could not cross the LoC.

He said that Pakistan, India and Kashmiri people are party of Kashmir dispute. Masood Khan said that we did not want war but if war was started then India will be fully competed. He said that whichever war will happen it will be defensive. He said that India could commit aggression while staging Pulwama like drama. Replying a question, Masood Khan said that practically India has imposed war on the population of Azad Kashmir living near border area. He said that 80 thousand families living near LoC are facing dangers.
