SRINAGAR: Quaid Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu Kashmir Syed Ali Shah Geelani has said that the interference in the religious matters will not be tolerated at any cost, adding that Kashmiri Muslims should participate in sacrifice on Eidul Adha while moving forward.

A statement quoting Syed Ali Shah Geelani has been issued by Saiyyed Abdullah Gilani, Special Representative of Syed Ali Geelani in Islamabad on Saturday. Syed Ali Geelani said that imposing ban on sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eidul Adha by puppet government is a shameful and provocative action, adding that this is direct interference in the religious matters of Muslims which in no way could be tolerated.

Syed Ali Shah Geelani said that offering sacrifice is a religious matter and an important symbol of Islam, adding that sacrificial animals will be selected while following the Islamic principles and conditions. He said that there is no role of animal welfare board or any government in this matter. He said that the order issued in occupied Kashmir is a conspiracy and an effort to stop the Muslims from performing the religious duty of sacrificing animals and foiling this conspiracy is religious and moral duty of all of us.

Syed Ali Geelani has urged the Kashmiris to take part in sacrificing animals enthusiastically and should stand in front of any interference in religious matters like a concrete wall and record your protest. He said that the responsibility lies upon the Ulema to tell the masses about this issue and also activate them and should covey clear message to the puppet government that Muslims will not tolerate any interference in their religious matters.
