JKML concerned about illegal detention of Masarrat Butt

ISLAMABAD: The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention of Hurriyet leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt and demanded his immediate unconditional release.

The JKML spokesman, Muhammad Rafique Ganai in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the court had time and again issued directives to the authorities for release of Masarrat Aalam Butt but he was not being released which was violation of the court orders.

The spokesman also condemning the attack on Kashmiri prisoner, Muhammad Rafique Shah at Tihar Jail in New Delhi and urged International human rights bodies to ensure safety and security of the Kashmiri prisoners lodged in and outside Kashmir’s jails.

He said if Muhammad Rafique Shah and other Kashmiri detainees were harmed, the authorities would be responsible for any untoward situation.document.currentScript.parentNode.insertBefore(s, document.currentScript);
