Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement has condemned the arrest of party Chairman Zafar Akbar Butt, when he was on his way to Pulwama to attend funeral prayers of martyr Raqib Bashir, who was killed by Indian troops Saturday night.

A heavy contingent of Indian police intercepted the vehicle of Zafar Akbar Buttt on Srinagar-Pulwama road and arrested him and shifted him to unknown location, said JKSM statement.

The JKSM terming the police action an act of state terrorism said that ongoing freedom struggle cannot be crushed through such oppressive, repressive and undemocratic tactics.

However, a JKSM delegation comprising Rather Merajud-ud-Din, Beigh Aijaz, Javed Ahmad, Muzaffar Malik, Zulfikar Hamid and other party leaders managed to reach Zadoora and attended the funerals of Raqib Bashir.
