Khurshid warns strong protest if troops sent to Syria

ISLAMABAD: The Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah on Tuesday said that if government decides to send troops in Syria or any other country, then opposition will protest strongly.

Talking to media persons, the opposition leader said that troops should not be sent abroad either directly or indirectly.

Khurshid Shah said, “We have no objection on aid given by foreign countries; however, we would not allow to get involve in others war.”

He said there are reports that retired army personnel are being sent Syria, if it happens the opposition will react with a strong protest.

To a question, he said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not attend a single session of Senate till now, if he (PM) doesn’t want to come to Senate then joint session of Parliament should be convened.} else {
