ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, while conducting hearing of a case, has remarked that position of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has been grave, saying that it seems that the provincial government will be bankrupt.

The apex court bench headed by senior judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed on Monday conducted hearing of a petition filed by an employee of agriculture department Ahmed Saeed for payment of his salary.

During the hearing, Justice Gulzar Ahmed inquired from the petitioner as to whether he has worked during the period he is demanding salary for.

Upon this, the counsel of Ahmed Saeed said that he his client has worked for sometime and did not work for sometime but there are clear orders of high court that salary should be paid.

Justice Gulzar Ahmed said as to why they demand salary when they do not work, saying that what the Peshawar high court is doing, the court (SC) is not comprehending the orders. The court dismissed the petition of Ahmed Saeed.
