KP law and order situation reviewed

Peshawar: A high-level meeting presided over by Acting Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Asad Qaiser held here at Governor’s house, Peshawar on Wednesday, reviewed law and order situation with special focus on the security matters in the Province and FATA.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khan Khattak, Chief Secretary, Amjad Ali Khan, IGP Nasir Khan Durrani, Additional Chief Secretary FATA, Mohammad Aslam Kamboh, Secretary Home KP, Munir Azam, Principal Secretary to Governor, Sikandar Qayum, Commissioner Peshawar Division, Dr. Mohammad Fakhre Alam, President KPCCI, Zulfiqar Ali Khan, Ex-President KPCCI, Zahid Shinwari, Political agents, industrialists and other concerned officials.

The meeting discussed in detail the current security situation prevailing in FATA as well as in the province and also reviewed the measures to effectively tackle the issues of extortion and sabotage. Meanwhile the meeting was also briefed about the pace of progress on the ongoing security measures as well as the current law and order situation in the province and FATA. The participants of the meeting expressed their satisfaction on the progress and it was also decided to take further steps in this regard.

While addressing the meeting, the Acting Governor and Chief Minister said that sacrifices rendered by police and our security forces in the cause of restoration of law and order had been widely appreciated.

On the Occasion, while paying tributes to the sacrifices of security forces, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Acting Governor Asad Qaiser, said that our security forces had rendered great sacrifices in the war against terrorism and have achieved unprecedented success in war against terrorism and militancy.

He said every possible endeavour would be done and all available recourses would be utilized to ensure the security and protection of the people.
