Matters pertaining ECP will be settled soon: Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that issues related to Election Commission of Pakistan will be resolved soon.

While addressing a ceremony on Saturday, he said that the matter of Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) extension will form legal shape in one and half month. “All the issues related to Election Commission of Pakistan will be settled soon. This government will complete its tenure,” he said.

Sheikh Rasheed further stated that the government is taking serious steps to end unemployment. “We are trying our best to create employment opportunities for people. I am hopeful that more people will be employed in Railways in near future. No one can defeat us as our daughters our educated,” he said.

He added that the rupee has stabilized against dollar and the country is moving towards economic progress.

Speaking of Kashmir issue, he said that we should never forget the gross human rights violations happening in the valley. He added that Maulana Fazlur Rehman keeps on making predictions which are not turning true.

Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that reforms are being made in Pakistan Railways to make it a vibrant and profitable organization.

Talking to media in Rawalpindi on Saturday, he said more job opportunities will be created in Pakistan Railways in the coming months.

Replying to a question, the Minister said government will complete its constitutional term. Appreciating the role of media, he said Pakistani media outlets are dispensing their responsibilities objectively and responsibly.
