Muhammad Abdul Shakoor suggests govt allowing NGOs working in health sector to import coronavirus vaccine on non-commercial basis

LAHORE: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Muhammad Abdul Shakoor has suggested the government to allow the non-governmental organizations working in health sector to import coronavirus vaccine on non-commercial basis.

While talking to media persons at the Alkhidmat Complex Lahore on Tuesday, Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that Pakistan like other counties of the world is also passing through a difficult situation arising after the coronavirus pandemic. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation from very first day remained active to overcome the coronavirus pandemic and also wants to help government and nation is process of coronavirus vaccination process.

Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that we knew that due to lack of resources with the government the process of free coronavirus vaccination in whole country could be proved a lengthy and long process, adding that Alkhidmat Foundation wants to join the vaccination process with the government.

Muhammad Abdul Shakoor suggested the government to allow NGOs working in health sector to import the coronavirus vaccine on non-commercial basis and should devise strategy to take work from them on purely humanitarian grounds. He said that the people who are registered with the EHSAAS program for their vaccination the funds should be issued from EHSAAS program and their vaccination should be done through NGOs working in health sector. He said that private and government educational institutions and businesses which are closed to due to coronavirus the vaccine should be provided to them on non-commercial basis. He said that the institutions should complete the vaccination of their staff with payment so that these institutions should resume their activities as soon as possible.

Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that Alkhidmat Foundation is running the biggest health network with 42 hospitals and diagnostic centers and we are also linked with the big network of educational institutions and wants to complete this work on humanitarian grounds and on non-commercial basis.
