NA body to consider constitutional amendment bill over new provinces

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Law and Justice to meet today (Thursday) to consider different amendment bills including the amendment bill pertaining to new provinces. The opposition has forwarded the bill. The bill relates to making new provinces of South Punjab and Bhawalpur.

The meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Law and Justice to be chaired by its Chairman Riaz Fatyana is being held at the parliament house in Islamabad today (Thursday).

Three separate bills regarding amendments in constitutional sections 198, 175A, 154, 59, 1, 106, 51 and 218 will be reviewed in the meeting.

Secretary Law and Justice, Secretary Planning and Development, Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) have been called to give briefing on the key matters.
