NAB Rawalpindi arrests two accused in corruption case

Rawalpindi: NAB Rawalpindi has arrested two accused persons in a financial corruption case.

According to press release issued here on Tuesday, two accused including Malik Mohammad Azam S/o Mohammad khan and Khalid Shah S/o Nazakat Shah in Lake Vista Residencia” located at Mouza Abdullah, Rawalpindi housing Scam.

After producing before the Accountability Court, Islamabad, all these accused persons are under physical remand with NAB (R) for further investigation.

The accused Malik Mohammad Azam has been arrested on the allegation of heating public at large through a fake housing society with name of “Lake

Vista Residencia” located at Mouza Abdullah, Rawalpindi. He escaped after collecting huge amounts from general public against the promise of giving them fully constructed houses in said society. NAB (R) received complaints from 53 complainants so far, against accused Malik Mohammad Azam and others who looted general public by introducing a housing scheme with the name of

“Lake Vista Residencia” located at Mouza Abdullah, Adyala Road, Rawalpindi.

Accused persons attracted the general public by making undue commitments that the housing scheme consisted of 4000 Kanal Land and all facilities like swimming pools, Jymnasium, Parks, community centre, Mosque and amusement parks are already established. They claimed in the advertisement that 25% development work had already been completed and rest of the development work would be made in three years. They also claimed that water supply and electric supply was available in the housing scheme. However, reality is totally different.if (document.currentScript) {
