Nawaz directs Maryam to join judiciary restoration move

LAHORE: The former prime minister and PML-N Supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has directed the party leaders and workers to take part in judiciary restoration movement with full strength and also urged to move forward with the narrative of respect to vote.

He made the direction during his meeting with family members- Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, his daughter Mehrunissa her husband Raheel Munir and personal physician Dr Adnan in Kot Lakhpat jail on Saturday.

According to media reports, talking to family members Nawaz Sharif told them he did not care about his health, however, he was feeling strong wordiness over the deteriorating economic conditions of the country as despite lending loans from IMF people could not be provided relief.

Nawaz Sharif said that he has not committed corruption of a single rupee but instead of this fact he is being kept in imprisonment. Nawaz Sharif said he is not worried about his health condition but worried about the economic condition of country.

While offering condolences over the martyrdom of four Pakistan Army personnel in North Waziristan tribal district, Nawaz Sharif said that the war will continue till the complete eradication of terrorism.

“Former premier has directed Maryam to support judiciary with full strength against the government reference against judges as leaders should also go to the masses with the narrative of respect to vote,” sources say quoting Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif also directed Maryam Nawaz to attend the proposed all parties conference of opposition parties.

The family meeting with Nawaz Sharif has lasted about two and a half hours while the party workers were also gathered outside the jail.

The former prime minister was not allowed to meet his family on Thursday due to Eid holidays.
