No solid steps have been taken to curb sectarian related murders: CJP

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has remarked “ no concrete steps have been taken for eradication of sectarian related murders.

He gave these remarks during the hearing of Dera Ismail Khan target killing suo motu notice in Supreme Court Thursday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government law officer said ban has been imposed on use of loudspeaker to curb massacre. Search operations have been conducted against miscreants.

CJP remarked “ no solid steps have been taken to curb sectarian related killing in Dera Ismail Khan. Chief Secretary should file report what action has been taken to address the problem.

The court while rejecting IG report said it seems as if some section officer has prepared the report while sitting in the office.

The petitioner Syed Wusaat Ullah told the court FIR of the murder case was lodged but no responsible person has been arrested. Ilyas Group and Irfan group are behind the terror related incidents in the area.

CJP remarked “ controlling the law and order situation is responsibility of government. Government will be asked to evolve proper plan to sort out the problem. Restlessness prevails among the people of area by seeing the situation.
