Pak Army determined for establishment of global peace under UN: COAS

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said Wednesday that Pakistan Army is committed to play its part in establishing peace under United Nations (UN).

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Commander of the Terrestrial Army of Congo Lieutenant General Sikabwe Asinda Fall called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Rawalpindi’s General Head Quarters (GHQ).

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and scope of military cooperation to include defence, training & security between the two countries were discussed.

COAS said that Pakistan views Congo as a key country in African continent and we appreciate Congo’s role towards regional peace.

Lieutenant General Sikabwe Asinda Fall lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and role in UN peacekeeping operations in Democratic Republic of Congo. He also vowed to enhance cooperation in various fields between the two militaries.
