Pakistan is ready to become land and air bridge for sending humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan: Moeed Yousuf

ISLAMABAD: Advisor on national security Moeed Yousuf has said there is intense scarcity of food and medicines in Afghanistan and Pakistan is ready to become land and air bridge for sending international supplies to Afghanistan.

“there is acute shortage of medicines and food in Afghanistan and the western media outlets are reporting that women are selling their children to get household commodities., he said this during his interview with US news agency

He went on to say Pakistan land can be used for supplying medicines and food to Afghanistan.

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has announced relief package for people of Afghanistan, he remarked. All the world countries should think about 35 millions Afghan men, women and children.

He stressed that humanitarian assistance for Afghan people should be beyond politics.

The international organizations should take steps for assistance and payment of salaries to the health workers in Afghanistan, he added.

Moeed Yusuf said that border management is crucial for us because we cannot afford the international terrorists in Afghanistan again create trouble for us. He said that it was India and the Afghan intelligence who were supporting them in the past twenty years
