Pakistan was moving towards progress & prosperity during tenure of Nawaz Sharif: Shehbaz

LONDON: Responding to Transparency International’s CPI annual report, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that corruption has soared in Pakistan whereas things were moving towards progress and prosperity in Pakistan during the tenure of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Shairf. He said that all the people should realize that current government is the most failed government of the country and Imran Khan is the most failed Prime Minister. He said that Imran Khan takes U-turn day and night, adding that today Imran Khan and PTI are responsible for the current state of Pakistani economy. He said that as soon as we will get rid of this government it would be better for Pakistan.

Speaking to the journalists in London, Shehbaz Sharif said that current government has snatched bread from the people. He said that projects worth billions of rupees were installed during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif, adding that country was moving forward in terms of transparency during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif. He said that the world has come to know that corruption was gradually decreasing and Pakistan was moving speedily towards progress and prosperity.

Criticizing the incumbent government, the PML-N president maintained that the incumbent government and Prime Minister Imran Khan as the worst ruler in the history. “For a year and a half, Imran Khan and his flattering group kept making only the noise of thieves and bandits,” he added.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the government has been failed from every front, even the bread was snatched from the people. He stressed on tracing the culprits and getting rid of the current rulers as soon as possible. He asserted how the current rulers will respond to this revelation now.

Talking about an ongoing wheat flour and sugar crisis, he said the country had huge wheat stocks during the PML-N term and that they were at loss where could they export wheat. He said that the wheat price has reached at the sky, adding that it is not known who has eaten the flour. He called for the government to apprise parliament of the true facts so that those responsible for the crisis be exposed.
