Parliamentary Secretary lauds AIOU role in promoting quality education

ISLAMABAD: Federal Parliamentary Secretary, Chaudhry Hamid Hameed on Thursday lauded the role of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in promotion of quality education in the country and hoped the new administration will provide best services to its students.

He visited the varsity and called for lying greater emphasis on the promotion of skill- based socio-economic education in the country. He also announced donating a land for construction of AIOU at Sargodha as well.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ali Asghar Chishti, briefed Federal Parliamentary Secretary about the ongoing development programs at the University while the parliamentary secretary assured his support for timely implementation of the projects. He advised the University administration to submit a revised PC-1, keeping in view the new requirements, so that it could be approved as early as possible.

Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, he added attached high priority for the rapid execution of the ongoing development projects, especially those relating to education sector.
