Pindi residents face unscheduled load-shedding

Rawalpindi: The residents of Rawalpindi city were facing 10 to 18 hours unscheduled load-shedding as concerned authority has failed to tackle this alarming situation despite repeated complaints.

The main localities of Rawalpindi city including Sadiqabad, Muslim Town, Muhammadi Colony, Col Yousaf Colony, Khuram Colony, Dhoke Ali Akbar, Dhoke Kala Khan, Dhoke Ratta, Cha Sultan, Pirwadhi, Bungish Colony, and Committee Chowk were facing continue unscheduled load-shedding.

The residents of these localities were also facing acute water shortage owing to the unavailability of proper electricity.

It was worth mentioned here that a massive power breakdown on Wednesday hit large swathes of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, depriving two-thirds of the country’s population of electricity for almost 10 hours. However, electricity was not completely restored in the several parts of Rawalpindi city.

Residents have appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of this alarming situation.
