While briefing the media after the PML-N CEC meeting Ahsan Iqbal said that PML-N has suggested that time and action plan of the protest campaign must be discussed in All Parties Conference (APC) of opposition parties.

Ahsan Iqbal said we must pave the way for next general elections as they are necessary now to steer the country out of crisis. He said PML-N would stand shoulder to shoulder in anti government campaign, adding that a committee to discuss protest campaign has been formed.

He said we are of the view that the protest must held after March. He said people are affected by dengue and all projects of PML-N are being rolled back. He said all economic fields are crashed.

Ahsan Iqbal said the Central Executive Committee of the party discussed political situation in the country. He said the meeting expressed solidarity with Kashmiris, adding that it also analyzed PM Imran Khan’s address at UNGA. He said first 50 days of curfew in Kashmir were wasted and no one including FM visited foreign countries.

He said government was assured support of 58 countries but it could not even grab 16 votes. He said government lacks practical steps rather it uses just tweets.

Ahsan Iqbal said that the government had no roadmap. “The new elections should be conducted immediately in the country,” he said. “The nation is united on the Kashmir issue.”

Ahsan Iqbal said that the government had wasted the opportunity of national unity after August 5. “The PM should have invited the opposition leaders during the Muzaffarabad visit. He should immediately take the House into confidence over the US and UN visit,” he declared.

He said that there is no solution except the elections to steer the country out of the blind alley.

The PML-N leader demanded that Nawaz Sharif should be released immediately. “Nawaz Sharif is a victim of the hate of Imran Khan,” he said. He said that an attempt is being made to make the province a deserted place.

Ahsan Iqbal said that we had decided in the start that it is necessary to expose this government so that the people should come to know that on the name of new Pakistan, the biggest fraud of 72 years history of Pakistan was done and this has proved today.

He said that the decision of PML-N will be the same which will be made by PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
