Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb Sunday claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying to demolish federal parliamentary democratic system and trying to impose presidential system over the country.

In a statement, Maryam termed electoral amendments suggested by govt as ‘attack on constitution and Election Commission of Pakistan’.

Maryam Aurangzeb said that these amendments stand opposite to the ideology and vision of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Supreme Court of Pakistan’s verdicts and basic structure of constitution of Pakistan.

PML-N spokesperson said that ‘selected’ Prime Minister wants to snatch the right of vote from 22 billion people and to give complete authority to specific elements. This is not a law but a plan to rig elections.

Maryam further said that govt will become Election Commission itself after these amendments, and only those will stand victorious who are govt’s paramours. These amendments mean dictation. Imran Khan wants to permanently impose a system of ‘selection’, Maryam maintained.
