Karachi: Senior Jamaat-e-Islami leader and member Taliban committee Professor Ibrahim on Sunday called upon rulers to abide by the constitution in letter and spirit.

Addressing a public gathering on the occasion of Pakistan Day, Professor Ibrahim said that government and Taliban’s committee would meet in two to three days.

“We will give good news about the outcome of talks,” he said.

The senior JI leader urged the country’s rulers to adhere to the Islamic clauses of Constitution in letter and spirit.

Those who are talking against the ongoing peace talks with Taliban were in fact negating themselves, he noted, adding that all parties had unanimously decided to give a go ahead to talks.
