LAHORE: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has fixed NAB appeal for hearing seeking inclusion name of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif’s in the Exit Control List (ECL).

Three-member SC bench headed by Justice Mushir Alam will hear the appeal on October 27.

The PML-N president has been accused of transferring billions of rupees abroad illegally through benami accounts and making assets worth billions using front men, servants and money changers.

The federal government had put Shehbaz Sharif on the ECL earlier this month but his name was removed on the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) order. The anti-corruption watchdog had challenged the LHC’s verdict in the top court.
