Karachi: Chairman Karachi Electric (KE) Ikram Sehgal on Wednesday resigned from his office.

In a statement, Sehgal said he had resigned from his office on moral grounds, and in the best public and, national interest,

“It is high time to quit the chairmanship of K-Electric” he added.

He said he would continue to serve Pakistan whenever required, but, he added, it was better to disassociate himself from the K-Electric at this stage.

The K-Electric has long been under severe criticism for overbilling, and loadshedding in the city.
